Wondering if anyone out there has a performance enhancing chip in their truck. Looking to get more HP out of my 360.

a friend of mine told me that on stock vehicles you want a programmer and a chip if you have mods....this is because a chip is mod specific. Someone correct me if my friend is wrong....so far as I have seen the hypertech powerprogrammer seems to produce the most power.
