The problem with doing these swaps is that some of the newer 2000 and up dodge ram have the VIN plate riveted on the cab under the windshield and there's no way to remove the VIN plate without destroying the tamper indicating paint or the rivets (Never would I attempt to do this myself). Most newer vehicles have a Confidential VIN here and there on the frame and inside the cab that noone other then law enforcement or forensics know about.(Even if you get lucky and find all the locations yourself it still wouldn't be no good to you anyways). If by any chance you get pulled over and the police officer suspects that the VIN plate has been tampered with that's more then enough evidence to have the vehicle seized and investigated further. That's why it's always wise to take both titles to the DMV to make sure it can be done legally before you do a swap of this magnitude.Good job on the two door to four door conversion, looks all original.I'm planning on doing my 2001 4x4 this spring to replace my rusted cab with one that's in alot better condition from a 2wd.Just waiting to make sure the doner cab's good before I waste time tearing into it.
