I can't believe it!
All I wanted to do was install the Rock Solid Ram Steering Fix ! Which can be done without removing the column. First thing is to remove intermediate shaft from bottom of column. Easy right? WRONG! LOL ,the bolt head holding it on is snapped off and gone... There is almost enough of the bottom of the bolt sticking out the opposite side , but it is on an angle because the ujoint housing is round so you can't get a good grip with vise grips. Even when I thought I had a good grip on it I couldn't budge it loose. Why you ask? Because the upper part of the ujoint housing is aluminum and the freakin bolt is steel! Like the great plenum design. Where are the designers heads when the put a steel bolt into an aluminum component??? Now I have to pull the column to do what otherwise would have been a pretty easy job. Sorry for the long post, just venting. LOL I'm not really laughing right now though. :-)
