It's in my blood !

Guys I can't take it anymore lol, I need my flowmaster back. I absolutely hate the sound of my magnaflow. It's so dull. It offers no variation of tone, the more throttle you put into it, the quieter and smoother it gets. For some, that's desirable, but not for me. When I'm passing somebody I want them to not even know what just hit them. Sick I know, but it's a disease=). I'm going to change it up a little bit though. I used to run the Super 44. It always cracked too much for my taste. Since I've removed the Super 44, I've reinstalled a magnaflow cat as well and rerouted the exhaust underneath the bumper. I'm confident I will either go with the Original 40 series muffler, or the 40 series Delta Flow. I'm just not sure yet what I want to do. As of now my truck drones just as bad ass the 44 did, but it doesn't sound nearly as badass, so it's a double ended sword. I may just get over the quest of quieting the cab up, and just go back to the beautiful sound of a two chambered muffler.

I love my Flowmaster 40. Doesn't crackle that much. Maybe a little more and does some when you just rev it up but not so much driving. Only did that after the Magnaflow cat. Didn't do much of that before with the stock cat. Just a little more with the Magnaflow nothing horrible.

Gotta love the flowmasters...

Flowmasters are pretty nice.

Btw have you tried installing some kind of sound deadener to the inside of the cab? I'm pretty sure that would help with the noise problem, if not eliminate the problem.

i got pulled over tonight for speeding in town...the officer called me out to the back of my truck and he was trying to listen to something on his radio...he angrily said " i cant hear with that exhaust"...thought that was funny even tho i got a $135 ticket........message me if anyone wants to chip in....lol

A ticket for your exhaust is one thing, but why would I want to chip in for your excess speeding? :)

A year or so ago when I got caught in a bad mood (never drive when you are pissy), I was doing about ten or so over. Ended up being a hundred and ten dollar ticket or some odd amount. How fast over were you going?

dakotas ram Sep 20, 2008 11:48 AM

thats the thing, he never said how fast i was going....limit was 25....he gave me a careless and prohib driving ticket cause he said it would be easier on my insurance....

I don't believe you get points on your liscense for that either, which is really the important part. A hundred dollar fine is a blow off thing. I know in Virginia if you get caught going 20 over the speed limit they can take you right to jail.
