Don't take it to a stealership. They will charge you an arm and a leg for a new switch.

Go to a salvage yard. If they have any 1994-1998 Dodge Rams, the switch should work just fine in your 1995. Got a replacement for mine out of a 2002 (since I have a 2001), and it works great. Can't remember exactly how much it was, but it was well under $50. I want to say $35 or something around that.

If you can, find a salvage yard with a warranty policy. My local one has a standard 199 day warranty policy on all items unless otherwise noted.

www.rockauto.com has them for about $17 plus shipping. That's the best deal I've seen on them. They're almost $100 at my local parts store.

Hey Big96,

I have a 99 and I have the same problem. I am 95% sure mine is a short in the steering column. When I tilt the wheel all the way up, I have lights. When I tilt the wheel all the way down, no lights. I have found the "sweet spot" right in the middle where I have lights and I just drive it that way. If you have tilt, try turning the headlights on and slowly going through the full range of tilt. I have no idea how to fix my problem and don't feel brave enough to tear into the column. Good luck!

it could either be your switch for your park lights and head lights that you pull out or it could be your dimmer switch, ive had both go on mine

Advance had what I needed for 22 bucks. Duralast and all ya gotta do is pull out the **** and put it in the switch part. Mine was stuck pretty good from me jackin around with it to get my lights to work before though lol.

Otherwise I think there's a purple wire on the steering column that goes into a blue holder ya might want to check out.
