sparkplug specifics

the time has come once again to but new sparkpugs, but which ones to get. I have narrowed my choices to the NGK v-power and the autolites. i have seen many people run colder plugs but they also have a tune and or other mods. now the real question is would i be able to run 1 heat range colder than stock with a ram air and exhaust without any problems. also would it matter at all running colder plugs with the stock 195* thermo.

I have herd from many sources and knowledgeable mechanics that Chrysler engines seem to run better using champion plugs. I would say, If your not doing other mods that require it, stick with what works! =)

Love the truck by the way, looks alot like mine

NGKs are the way to go. I haven't heard any problems with them as I've heard with the Autolite 3923s.

Ive got the autolite 3923s and dont have any problems with them. People on here have posted that their truck runs better with the autolites and others with the champ. There is no problem though running colder plugs.

Same here as Mowhawk. However, if you have no pinging issues, you might as well stick with Champions. Many claim the Champion Truck Plugs are the best stock-type plugs.

I had a ping. Autolite 3923s (one heat range colder) fixed it.

Ill be installing autolite 3923s when I reassemble my truck but I have a few hp above stock (few hundred ;) )
When I was na, stock motor & some bolt ons the champions were ok. Didnt like the NGK though and swapped them not long after installing them.
Still na, stock 5.9 but every bolt on including ramairbox & MP PCM (180stat) I was running stock temp range bosch plat plugs. Never had ping & ran best of 13.99 et. Found them to be good plugs.(dont get +2/+4 they are gimmicks)
I didnt go colder till mild 360/7psi boost, used the 3923 autolites then too.(plats not recommended w/boost)

I know your FAR above me in horse power, but you may want to look into Denso Iridiums.
We do have different superchargers but Kenne Bell highly recommends them with their
unit one heat index colder. Just food for thought.

so are there any improvements over running colder plugs from stock besides stopping ping that i dont have

Little more "lively" engine. Maybe
