Trans shifts fine for the little bit I've used it. Actually, it seems a little smoother, but quicker, like when it was new. I haven't driven it much, I have the truck pulled apart. I'm halfway thru my head install right now.

How much did that new pan cost and where did you get it?
|
$275.00 at www.genosgarage.com
The sight only has Cummins Dodge products, but the 46re, 47re, and 48re, all use the same pan size. It's a Mag Hytec 727-DD part number. |
I have some parasitic power loss somewhere in the drivetrain. Would this be something you recommend to cure some of that. I will probably end up rebuilding the rear diff anyways, I hope that takes care of some of it. FYI- I have the 518.

Thanks for the write up. And taking your time explaining things and taking pictures. I think I can do it.

hey aim,
how is your tranny these days with the sure cure? Any useful feedback to provide? I'm considering one of these as preventive type maintenance, but maybe I misunderstand it. I have original 46re with 126K. Never been peeked into and has never presented any issues. Was thinking a minimum of fluid change and filter change. Is this kit an overall good thing to implement for this kind of condition? thanks |
Ya. I'd like to know how that all ended up. Where are you at now with the tranny?
|
Old thread gnome, aims has a Challenger now :)
|
Sure Cure kit is a good investment. Improves shiufting by leaps and bounds. Do the Governor Solenoid upgrade also.
