Default vss problem

Hey all

I was installing a new vss in my differential. When i pulled the old one out, only half of it came out. So am stuck with no speedometer at the moment. I am wondering how to go about getting the rest out, can i just open up the pumpkin and push it through.

On another note would this have anything to do with it stalling while stopping

thanks

did it break off in the diff? Not good. take the rear diff cover off and fish it out ASAP.

Can you thread a screw or a bolt into it and then yank the stub out?

As far as stalling ... doubt it. The IAC is often the culprit. Back of the throttle body. Gets gummed up. Pull the TB and clean it all up.
