well, my harmonic balancer decided to take a crap today as i was getting ready to leave the taco bell. thing just completely popped off the clutch fan and now just dangles there. gotta wait till monday before i can have it towed somewhere cuz i sure as hell aint gonna try and fix it. anybody else have a great day?

i'm confused. harmonic balancer is on the end of the crank, down low. clutch fan is attached to the water pump pulley, higher up on the motor.

And besides that, why are you "sure in hell ain't gonna fix it yourself" ? Either way it's pretty easy.

hmm, it's actually my fault why it broke to begin with the guy said it needed replacing about a year ago and i never did it and he said that it was the harmonic balancer. if its not i ordered the wrong part

ah god, zman you were right. it was the water pump pulley thing. so does that mean i gotta buy a new water pump or do they sell just the pulley?

doesnt show it on autozone's site.......did the bolts simply back out? break off? what?

i'm not exactly sure, all i know is that the pully now isn't connected to anything and it moves around in all directions freely.

You may be able to pull a pully from a junk yard donor, but if the shaft is snapped then you have to replace the whoel deal.
