440 swap
looking for headers that will fit 440 into a dodge ram 150 4x4. any ideas or anyone have any good luck.
|
A set for like a 440 A-body swap would probally fit. They hug quite a bit tighter due to the smaller space.

Im going to do this swap as my brother has a 81 maurader with a 440 in it.... Its a beast,,,, runs low 8s in the 1/8 with just a stock motor with the exception that he put a torque convertor in it,,,, it eats pavement all day....knowing what has to be done im gonna strip my truck completely and do the fabrication needed and then it will definitely just be a weekend warrior ride..... That would be a sick dodge ram sitten with a 440 under the hood....until the mean time getting all my parts together to rebuild the 360 in it with a cam and torque converter and probably going with a magna flow exhaust instead of the flow masters. May even change the fear ratio as well... Will see 3000 dollar budget and im doing it myself.

If your going to put A518 behind the 440 you will need adapter as shown here
#56XXX. Chrysler Big Block (361, 383, 400, 413, 426, 440) to Dodge Small Block 518 transmission. This is the adapter everybody is looking for. 6 bolt crank Cost $689.00, 8 bolt crank Cost $730.00 OR JW Ultra bell, read this thread http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/in...?topic=65534.0 Dave |
