Thanks for the info! Would have looked like crap anyway. I like the look of headers without the wrap. So i guess that what ill have.

i recently checked my dads manifolds and they are the same temp at idle after driving for a little bit as my headers are on my 318 in the same situation. i would like to have the coating on mine to keep the heat off the #7 and #8 spark plug wires but they seem to be alright like they are. i thought about wrapping them when i first got them but i googled the wraps and heard bad things about them. one guy had a set of brand new headers looking like swiss cheese from the rust after 6 months of having them installed because of the wrap.
