I wouldn't use it, I'd be too paranoid, and with my luck it would fail at the worst possible time.

a band aid will get you through till you have an extra 150$ for a new rad.

True, but I'd rather let it leak if it was only small one like yours (leak that is) and keep some water with me. Otherwise it would be too easy to forget about it. That's just my paranoid self. LOL
