My aunt and uncle have a 2500 V10, bought it roughly a dozen years ago when they started a horse related business as start up money was tight and a couple year old V10 gasser was a good bit cheaper than any diesel they could find.
Last I saw them about a year and a half ago, they were doing well at it, had bought a new diesel a few years ago (a Furd, sadly) but still had that 2nd Gen Dodge V10, with a shade over 200k on it and it was still going strong.
Now this is a vehicle they bought at about 3 years old with about 45k on it and have maintained themselves, I don't know if I'd buy one from someone with that many miles on the clock, unless they were just about giving it away...

Ok let me try this again you took it the wrogy way.. no way in hell you can take a piston out of a v10 and put it in a 318 what i was trying to say is that i read somewere that the bore and stroke is almost the same it was only couple thous of an inch if anything. But my buddy still running stock rim and tires which are 245 i think and it all highway for him to work so it easly for him to get 20 mpg when he got a loaded trailer yea he getting closer to 10mpg but man dose the v10 pull it ***** off

Along with Miami, I'm calling BS as well. Complete and utter b*** s***.
A 5.9L (360) Magnum V8 with stock tires can't get 20 MPG, no way the V10 could, he's feeding you full of s***. Second of all, the semi-newer V10s like Miami has are very different. The ignition system isn't even the same.

I love the V-10. Now if the gas ever goes up to $4 per gallon again I may change my mind, but I've never been in a gasoline powered vehicle with this kind of torque. Mine runs smooth and gets 11-11.5 mpg bone stock with a flowmaster 50 series, and automatic, with 35's and a 5-inch lift. I'd like to have the new cummings sure, but for a gas engine this V-10 is a killer!
