Putting 4:10 gears in my 99 dodge
#38
4.56 with 35's will pretty much be the closest to bringing the final gear ratios back to stock.(if your going to go bigger on tires go with the 4.88's).... I have 4.56's and I can tell you its a blast to drive! at 70 your doing about 2100 rpm....vs 1800 with 3.92 gears.(your may be 3:55'swhich is even lower)...when your driving around 55-60mph with your current setup your rpm's are too low to maintain enough power to stay in overdrive and it will shift back and forth more often putting more wear on the tranny.... At least that what I've read eslwhere from others who had that setup and it makes sense....
I cant speak for many ram since I bought it this way but I can say when i upgraded my jeep from 4.10 gears to 4.56's with the 32 inch tires it made a huge improvement in power and gas and I got the use of my fifth gear back....(plus it even corrected my speedometer)
