What's the best lift for my 01 ram 1500

I have a 2001 second generation ram 1500 club cab 4x4.

What is the best suspension lift kit for it. I want 6"+. Ill drive mostly on the road but go mudding on the weekends.

Who has the best lift for the money that includes everything that i need? Shocks, brake line extensions, etc...

Thanks

i only did 5in. but its a rough country everything you need plus i added 5 shock boots for like $860 Ebay

Does it come with shock boots?

Im Kinda new to the off road world.

What is the difference between the Series 2 and the x series? What one is better?

MAJohns Oct 25, 2009 08:07 PM

the x series has adjustable control arms which i wish i would have got cause you can do a level kit and add a leaf and get 7in out of that lift. shock boots are $3.10ea. it comes with everything, sway bar drop bracket, coils, shocks (which i upgraded), blocks, u bolts, pitman arm, control arms, bushings..., it didn't come with break line extensions but it did suggest them. what i did was unbolt the bracket from the frame and i haven't had a problem yet and you can see how mine is flexed in my sig pic with the tire off the ground.

Best "kit" out there for our trucks is the skyjacker 7" long arm

or if you really wanna do it up the 7" long arm with coil overs, but it's pricey.

Anything bigger than that you're going to have to piece together yourself.

here you can find a 14" for $4299

Holy ****, that's not that much more than the 7" coil over skyjacker lift...

That'd be good for 44 inch tires... whew...

MAJohns Oct 25, 2009 09:34 PM

yea you would think they would throw in some gears with it

What the hell kinda gears are good for 44" tires? 5.38s? Lower than that maybe... Probably like 6.17

That's a lot of Fin money would be sweet to ride that high though, just not practical.
