We pulled the valve body and also changed the pressure switch and OD selenoids. I can't remember if you have to pull the valve body to do just the switch. Seems to me it was easier to do with it out, but its a PITA to do. My "helper" who builds Dodge trannies for a living believes its a good idea to change all that stuff at once.

I bought my truck with the solenoid needing to be replaced, the dealership was set on it being a $800 job and it only came out to about $270.

They control the shift timing on the 47re transmission, mine was malfunctioning causing the truck to start in 2nd slowly accelerate and drop into 1st and run like a bat out of hell. Routinely peeling out while going 25 down the street.

I have an extra governor solenoid and pressure sensor that your looking for. The pressure sensor is a four prong which is what you need. Its very simple to change them out. I found a DIY with pics by searching on the web when I did it. I have them both for $110 is you need them. Only problem is that Im in Alaska and shipping will be $5 and take about a week.
