Default HOLY GAS! BatMan! 264 Miles on full tank of gas!

I knew it wasn't going to be great, but my GOD! Truck was running smooth at 70mph but at 2100rpm. Is this normal mpg with the 3.92 gears??

That's something like 10mpg, a bit low for highway, but better than mine.

No it's not... he prolly ran it until the light came on.. then went to fill up.. I've done this hundreds of times and usually takes 21ish gallons.. so he's getting more around 12-13mpg whhich would be about right for 3.92's.

I've put over 60,000 on my ram in the past 2 years.. i've become very familiar with mpg's

60,000/13mpg= 4,615.38 Gallons!

4,615 Gallons/ 21 Gallons per fill-up = 220 trips to the gas station = 2.11 fill-ups per week

Damn. I only was getting around 100 miles to a half a tank. That was with a blown plenum, bad spark wires, plugs, dist cap + rotor, and fuel pump. I do a lot of letting it warm up for 10-15 mins before I go anywhere also, which kills my mpg.

Eh, The tank holds 26 gallons, assuming he filled up when it's on E, 264/26=10.1 and for you, filling up with 21 gallons, 264/21=12.5

I fill up when the light comes on which is at 1/8 of a tank. So when it comes on you still have around 5 gallons left. So if you fill up then your only putting in 21 gallons.

Default well at least there isn't something wrong

I didn't run it until light came on the first time which was the 264. I think if I had of, I might have gotten near 300, I have a gutted cat and a flowmaster with turndowns and crappy tires and a misfire on cyl. 8. So i guess i shouldn't complain! :-)
