Worse Ujoint you'll ever see ...

Still attached to a functioning transmission.

Had a sudden, bad wobble and knew something was cooked, luckily close to home.
Creeped home @ 20 MPH, over that it shuddered like a bronco.
Would have really sucked if the drivetrain spun off, luckily it got me home.

Twas hanging by a thread, I was amazed it held.
When I got it off, it was bone dry ,,, Just lubed all of them up late last fall, so it must have had a defect that allowed the lube to escape, and the heat and friction killed it dead.

Other 2 looked fine but I changed them too anyways while I was there.
Alot of pounding, took me about 2 hours from taking it down to taking it for a test drive.
They were only $10 each ,,, $15 with a lifetime warranty, but with my truck, that may be days or weeks, so I opted for the cheaper ones.

DukesOfHazzard Apr 4, 2010 11:19 PM

Doesnt Napa sell em? I know i couldnt find any at all in the auto stores, I had to call some random truck shop in the yellow pages and they had to order em about 50-60 bucks each IIRC.

Going cheap on parts is stupid.
