Wheelbearing housing, or some type of pinion ring ? need better pic's of the sides of it.

I found it on the ground under my truck. I am really nervous about that.

Its very possible it was kicked under your truck, or it fell off another vehicle and rolled under your truck, or a previous vehicle that was parked there left it behind and you parked over top of it. Are you sure it fell off of your truck?
