What is a plenum?

Everyone talks about it. What is a plenum or plenum fix kit? Explain how it works. This sounds like an essay question haha.

Thanks ahead

if everyone talks about it then search, your going to get bashed by people on here for a topic that is covered multiple times a week. The plenum is the steel belly pan on the bottom of the aluminum intake mainfold. As the hit and cold cycles work the steel pan will warp and cause oil burning. Go get a kit to repair from ethier APS or hughes

Check the FAQ's. Then do a search. Plenty of info on it floating around here somewhere..
