Normal. Put a full charge on the battery before doing any electrical tests. if you don't have a good supply, none of the tests are going to be accurate.

Should have 12 volts at the coil. At least, for a couple seconds, and while cranking the engine.

Okay I do have that. This is his Father-in-law now. Could you explain to me how many volts I should read while checking each connection? He told me 5v. Now do i just start at 1 then unplug as I go? checking everyone? or staying with 1 while each get unplugged to see any change?

They should all have 5 volts, whether any of the rest are plugged in or not. But, they should only have voltage for about three seconds after turning the key to on, or, while the engine is cranking.

sensors will all have continous 5v with the key on, and the coil and injectors will have 12v or battery voltage. If the fuel pump primes when you turn on the key, then the ASD is working and the coil would be powered at the same time. You may need a second set of hands to verify the voltage.

If that was per the instructions on the PM, then I would say that the computer needs to be rebuilt.

You did unplug all the sensors though, and with nothing plugged in, it still read 2v? (just verifying)
