i blocked my egr off, but yes you can cut the tube out, its just there to distribute the egr in the middle

i cut the pipe on both ends, and plugged them with bolts welded in...left everything else the same....ive ran it like this for about 8-9K now, and ive had about 5 check engine lights, but they go off once i turn off the truck and turn it back on.

makes no difference with or without the pipe IMO....the pipe is made so it can recirculate and reuse some of the gases, and ive had no problem with mine, and i still get 13-14mpgs around the city

That sounds good , so after i cut the tube should i leave the egr valve in place and unhook the vacuum line and the electrical connecter off , or one of the other. Or can i make a block off plate for the valve and leave everything unhooked . What would happen i can live with the light on every now and then

IMO i would leave the egr alone besides the tube INSIDE the manifold.....no noticeable diff in power....i only blocked mine cuz i got non egr headers
