HELP WIRING LEDs TO DOME LIGHT TRIGGER

Hey yall I'm trying to wire some leds under the dash & I want them to come on when the doors open. There are three wires coming from the door switch and neither of them would power the leds on.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not 100% sure on this.... but, I think the door switches provide ground for the various circuits. Have a close look at the switch, to verify this is indeed the case.

If it really does work that way, find a convenient 12 volt power supply for your lights, and then just run the ground wire to the door switch. Door open = lights on.
