Transmission won't shift into 3rd
 

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500, I have been having a problem with the 2-3 shift. Under 40 mph it will only make the shift if I let off the throttle. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Everything I know about automagic transmission is written on the inside of my left eyelid. :D

Is it only having problems shifting from 2nd to 3rd? No other problems..?

Mine did this turns out so the shop told me, it was a burned clutch pack caused by a factory defect with this groove cut around some sort of drum.

Rebuild time for you I think.
