Default Wierd noise at idle.

I have a 2000 ram 1500. 5.9 auto 4x4. When i start the truck in park it has this weird noise coming from the drivers side. Like something is squeaking and hitting the floor. But in neutral or any other gear its fine and the noise isn't there. Any ideas? Also my fan is extremly loud. Fan clutch?

Fan clutch is possible. They are designed in a way that if they fail, they'll usually fail in the locked position (always spinning, never slipping) so that you won't overheat. Just lose power and gas mileage.

You can get another one, or go the electric fan conversion route.

My "squeak and hitting something" noise ended up being my belt tension assembly. Replaced it, replaced the belt, and no more noise.
