I have a 1994 dodge ram 2500 4x4 5.9 gas.

early on in the week i went out to test the 4WD it did quite fine every thing engauged and work properly a couple days went by and i desided to to do a tune up on it so i got new plugs wires and distributor cap and rotor. then after the tune up i took it out to desert and found some mud ... went through got stuck and when i went for the 4WD nothing engauged exsept the transfer case

my question is is there any thing in the back of the block that could of got knocked off that has any thing to do with front axle/4X4 plus there is no vacumme pressure to the shift motor that lead to the 4x4 acu. ??? plz i need answers

Wonder if you pulled a vac line off the CAD box on the front axle or something?

No indication from your post that you visually inspected down there. zman's link should help get you oriented down there. Print that ***** out.

If the line is green it's just a vent. If it's white or gray , that's the supply line. So you need to trace it.

4x4 engagement is purely mechanical. No electrical parts at all. (aside from the switch that the CAD operates on the front axle. But, that's can fail, and your 4x4 will still work.)

Need to find out where you are losing vacuum. You should be able to see the switch on the t-case on the drivers side, by the shift linkage.
