truck wont start if its cold outside
hello, i hope im posting in the right spot...first time posting...anyway i have a 1994 dodge ram 2500 with the v-10. the problem is that when its cold outside like 34 degrees and lower the engine will not start. first i thought it was the fuel pump. so went and got one and replaced it. boom truck started right up (it was warmer outside then). next morning its cold again and wont start again. i checked for spark. there was none. so i went and bought a new camshaft sensor and a new crankshaft sensor. replaced them both and the truck started right up. again it was warmer outside by then. to make a long story short its still doing the same exact thing and wont start when its cold outside. once it finally does start it runs well. to me it seems like the pcm isnt receiving power when its cold outside. the only code is 12 coming up. which i dont understand that either because the battery hasnt been removed in a year.. if anybody has had similar problems or anyone would like to help me out with a bit of info that may help it would greatly be appreciated. im losing my hair on this one.
thank you

just a bit to add. when its having a start issue in the cold, the engine is lacking both spark and fuel pressure. i have replace the asd relay. still doing the same thing. im baffled. outside temp warms up to 40 or more and it has no issues.

When you say "won't start" is it turning over? Also if it is turning over how bout checking electrical connections? Do you have water in a bad plug then when it's cold it freezes then you have no continuity. Just my .02

I actually recently had a misfire in the morning on a cold day. It might be worth popping your distributor cap off and checking out the points on the cap and rotor. My 98's were quite corroded.
