Just got my new 285's now I got a problem
 

Just got my new 285 75 16. Let me start out by saying amazing, I went from 32 11.5 15 for summer tires to 285 and what a huge difference. but now with having them on stock rims at full turn they rub on the control arm. What can I do to fix it with keeping the same rims and tires. I've got a leveling kit, so is there a possibility of buying longer control arms or something like that? Please help!!!

Don't turn the wheel as far.. You're using a tire the truck wasn't designed for. Rub is inevitable.

there was a thread awhile back were someone adjusted the steering stops....there was maybe 5 people that looked under there trucks and only a couple had adjusters, I would look under and see if have them if not it will be a metal stop and if your lucky it will have a threaded hole in it if it does pick up a stopper and adjust so that they will not rub or just when turning sharp go to it rubs then back off a tad

I think the stock stops are bolts with a square head. My sisters 99 has them.

yea my 95 has them, but they are tach welded in place....

wheel spacer but not to much of a spacer that your wheels look dumb. I have the same problem I have 285/75/16s

Mine has the stops but I haven't bothered adjusting them yet. I just try not to turn the wheel as far. I've had 285's on er almost as long as I've owned it so I've gotten very used to the limit on my steering lol...

Dodgeramit do you have the 3 spoke swirly rims like on mine? Apparently the off-road rims are backspaced a bit more and don't rub with 285's. Sheriff told me this, he has them on his truck

Shouldn't that be "Swirly rim crew signing in!".
Off road rims don't rub with 33" tires (bigger than 285s).
