Unhappy Can anyone help me with a few issues on a 99 dodge ram 1500?

Hello everyone. I own a 1999 dodge ram 1500 clubcab 4x4 that I am having a few issues with. I purchased the truck from my mother about a year ago and have yet to solve two issue that the truck has. First off my abs and brake light come on randomly, sometimes when I hit 45mph and sometimes right when I start the truck. I have done research and found that most likely it was the speed sensor on the rear axel. I have replaced this part however the issue still exists. any thoughts???

The other issue I am having is the passenger side headlight wiring. The drivers side is fine. However on the passenger side both the high and low beam stay on constantly when lights are turned on. Also the light they put out is weak as if it is losing some juice somewhere. I cannot even see at night with the passenger side light.

Well if you can help me with any of this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

I will move this to the 2nd generation Dodge Ram section (1994-2001 1500s) to get you some help.

check the ground on the passenger headlight. Classic sign of no ground.

I have a 99 Dodge Ram 2WD with the same ABS and Brake light problem. I have replaced the RWAL Sensor and had all the brakes checked. No problems were found. The problem is intermittent. The lights will "reset" after I turn the key off and may not come back on for some time. I have no solution. If you come up with answer, please share.

Probably a marginal sensor.

Marginal as in: Doesn't work as it should.

Some of the aftermarket sensors are really crappy....... and the dodges seem especially sensitive to that.... in the 'high importance' areas, like speed sensors, crank sensor, cam sensor..... getting OEM is about the only really safe bet.
