Default Wiring thingamabobber

I had a wire literally glow underneath the dash after I started it up. It's connected to this thing and I was hoping it would help me narrow down on what the wire is for. If any of you guys know what it is, it'd be greatly appreciated.

cut the wire and go from there because it getting hot enough to glow is not good. Its probably shorted to ground or something.
I would just cut the wire and tape it off and se what happens. I'm sure you'll lose something. At any rate, I would rather have lost an accesory or have an engine light pop on that have an electrical fire....

Dunno what that thingamabobber is? Almost looks like a HU connector with plugs in it? I know it's not though...
\Good luck.

haha Thanks man. I broke it already (partially on accident :P) and taped up what I could with some of the wires that it melted the insulation off of.

Go to the FAQ/DIY section and downlaod service manual. Be carefull just cutting and taping, especially when you have wires melting. Only thing worse will be truck catching on fire!
