I'm wanting to say rc12yc. I'd have to go look under the hood to be 100%.

I want to get the stock plugs but not pay $40 at the dealer and I want to get stock wires too, but also avoid the dealer but for some reason I cant find the stock OEM stuff at part stores

That's what my sticker on my 97 says and my Gpa said they've used the same plugs forever.

For 2001s, RC12LC4, part # 436. $2 a piece at O'Reillys or Advance. Gap at .040

All that is on a sticker above the radiator, facing the sky, under the hood. :) They changed the plug recommendations slightly towards the end of the 2nd gens, I think they are slightly different than the units before 1998 or 1999.

Another good set are the NGK V-powers, part # 4291. Usually run a little better than the stock Champions, but are $0.50 more per plug.

What about wires for the stock champions? Bosch?

HeyYou 04-06-2011 09:49 AM

Get a good quality set of 8mm wires.

A good quality set of 7's like Standard Motor Products, along with the TSB routing of the wire's will work just as well. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/18-48-98/18-48-98-v8.htm
