I was planning on dropping the truck a 3" in the front 5" the rear. I saw a kit from western chasis for about 260 it brings front lowering springs an shackles an hangers in the rear. They also offer nitro slammer lowering shocks for about 45.00 bucks each. has anyone heard of that company ? Western chassis

I had a set of toxic shocks in my truck for like 4 years, and when I started to lift my suspension they were still good. another thing, if you do the lowering think about airbags they help to eliminate the hard bottoming out that most for sure you will get from lowering your suspension

Well I nvr do any kind of towing, an the heaviest things I carry are kayaks an mountain. u still think bottoming out would be an issue ? An I was also wondering if purchasing stiffer leaf springs or performance leaf springs would help

sorry man I dont even know how to post pics, just search the beltech lowering kit that includes shackles, hangers & coilsprings. and the slam bags would give you a better ride even if your truck is unloaded.

Anything lower than 4" in the rear will have bottoming out unless you notch the frame, havent heard of anything about western chassis but theres not much to shackles and hangers, the spring is where you are gonna notice a difference between brands

and the handling was pretty good, and the corners is when you love the bags, they prevent much of the side roll

Handling and Ride quality is the objective so air bags/slammers bags is the way to go. I'm guessing u have belltech air bags? do u remember the price for them ?

I get everything from stilyng concepts, belltech lowering kit, toxic shocks & airaid airbags. I don't know if 94 & 98 have compatible steering sistem. just instaled in my truck a Steering Rack and it drives a lot better.

for the rear swaybar... look on ebay or locale salvage yard/pick and pull for a factory 2500 swaybar. there out there cheap and I have read to make them work on a 1500 all you have to do beside just bolt up is enlarge the holes on the 9.25 lower shock mount. should be a nice difference. also while you are at it, some 1500's have the larger 32mm swaybar up front as well if you don't.
