Default 99 Dodge Ram 1500

HI Guys,

I'm new to this forum and have a question:
99 Dodge Ram 1500 and my whole dashboard is cracked and broken. How do I go about replacing it? I looked up some on ebay but I'm not sure what to look for exactly. What's the stock item # or what is the easiest way to fix. I already bought a cover for it for now but I do want to replace it. Help is appreciated.

Thanks

Threre are three options.
1. Buy new dash from dealer. I have seen someone post that the cost is about $800. So, not a good option.

2. Dash Cap - This is not a new dash, but a plastic piece that fits over and adheres to existing dash. This option may only be viable if you have enough dash left to stick to. Options - include ebay or LMC Truck.

3. New dash from http://sandkindustries.com/DASH.html for $289 plus shipping. This is the best option I have found. Comes in black, may need to paint depending on the interior of your truck. I ordered one today.

Hope this helps.
Welcome to DF.

I was leaning that way, but LMC is a dash cap, not a replacement. If the craced plastic continues to shatter underneat, I was afraid that I would have a perpertual rattle issue with the busted up pieces.

I had literally no dash underneath and I just covered the bottom with silicone and adhered it to the defrost vents and Other random places. It's a dash cap and so far it's worked great. I had to buy a bezel as well because mine was bad and with shipping it all came out to $300ish.

I have letterally no dash that is not busted to pieces and thought about gluing back the pieces to give some support under cap. Couldn't find out how thick it was.

Does it flex on you or vibrate? Is it pretty thin or thick?
