Help I put gas in my 5.9 diesel
Well, I had my head up my *ss & put gas in my 99 3500 Dodge 5.9 diesel truck! I got all the gas out! I have Fass pump on it. I put 10 gallons of diesal in it & finally got it to start! I let it idle for a half hr. to let the battery charge. When I pulled out of the driveway the motor died. Got it start & put back in the driveway! My problem is, when motor temp. gets to 140*s or more it will not idle below 1,000 rpms. I took the truck out for a test ride & it runs fine, but it will not idle! Everyone thinks its the injector pump, if so why would it run so good above 1000 rpms. Help please!

Drian the flue tank, clean out flue filter, oil in diesel flue helps with lubercation while combustion is ocuring in the cylinders, by no means dose it replace oil in the lubercation sytem.
Had you put diesel in a gas engine, you would have way more issues, diesel trucks can run on perfume, grain oil, and a wide range of flues that don't need the refignment of gasoline.
desiels run on combustion, where as gas engines need a spark plug to ignight the air flue mixtrue.
Clean diesel flue is all you need.
With ideling issues, and performance over 1000 rpm, I would check the basic filters, air, flue, ect.
