ok guys i have a new problem (go figure), when i turn either left or right and begin to straighten the wheel out as im driving it starts to jerk and it jerks the steering like im trying to turn on the concrete while locked in 4x4. ive been told its the hub assembly but i dnt wanna sink anymore money into this turd than ive got too.. and im sure when i do one i "should" do the other correct?

Jack up the front end and grab your tire and see if you can get it to wobble at all. Make sure it is not the balljoints that have the play in them. If it is the wheel bearing you can replace just the one, no need to replace the other one if it is still good. Though repacking it with new grease would not be a bad idea.

If you have wobble up and down with the wheel then it is more than likely ball joints, if it is side to side then it is more than likey a wheel bearing. I havent done a wheel bearing on a ram 4x4 yet so i cant give you any other advice but if it has gotten bad then you might need a 3 jaw puller to remove it completely.
