Old front crank seal won't come out..

Any suggestions? I've hammered the hell out of the back trying to pop it out of the front and even bought a seal puller, both of which haven't budged the thing. I hit it with PB blaster, engine degreaser, and brake cleaner. I've heard they are supposed to come out with a few taps from a punch and hammer but I've starting to put holes in the old one.

So close to my 2nd favorite part of any project, putting it all back together (1st: obviously test drive)

that is weird. i take it you tryed using a pry bar to get it out?

and maybe dumb suggestion but did you take out all of the screws? are their any hidden ones?

I used a pair of channel locks. Grabbed the thing and twisted and pulled it out.

And screws? I mean, I took out all of the bolts in the cover, I hope I'm not missing something here.
