Default wheel bearings

my new rotors have the race installed but no bearings. My old bearings seem fine, is it ok to use them in the new rotors? Contrary to the Haynes manual which says the bearings and races come as a matched set. Help please!

Better off to just get new bearings.

You already asked this question here....https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...placement.html

Why did you create another thread?

My 4x4 truck does not have the bearings in the rotor...they are part of the hub. I'm taking it your 2wd?

I didnt think anyone would see the first post. Yes its 2wd and the bearings do go in the hub, which is part of the rotor..... unless I'm all messed up with the terminology?

No your right. 4X4 is just the rotor. 4X2 has bearings...meaning more expensive. If your going to use the old bearings, clean them thoroughly and regrease them. If it were me, I'd replace the bearings. Cheap insurance.

Use a punch to knock old races out. Then use old race and hammer to get new races set. Need new wheel seal also.
