transfer case Q's
 
im looking to do a fluid change on my t-case on thursday before snow hits here in chicago. so my question is, what type of fluid do i use? any preferred brand? and do i need a friction modifier?

Do you have an owners manual? If not, I would suggest getting one, they are readily available and cheap on ebay....They work wonders for reducing/eliminating dumb questions...:icon_mrgreen:

I have an owners manual somewhere. Could'nt tell ya where it went, so I dont know if that counts as still having one...

You can download the parts and service manuals in the DIY section if you would like. They are free.. Before you go out and get new fluid for the t-case I would be sure to check and see if you can get the plugs to come loose.. You dont wanna go spend the money on fluid to find out they wont come out

Atleast you have a working transfer case.. Be sure to download the manuals for any future reference or questions.
