Set it in behind where it fits in. Bang it upwards, then forward.
|
put it above the frame, and drop it into place, then do what ya gotta to get it forward to the right spot.
|
Its hard to maneuver it anywhere because the transfer case and transmission gets in the way. Ill try some more positions. Just a huge PITA lol youd think they would have made an easier way or approach for it.

Try cussing it more! I've helped with a transmission replacement on a Chevy 1500 4wd and putting the cross member back was fairly easy, never messed with one on the Dodge.

mini sledge is the easyest way i went thought it with my last one

Well dodge decided itd be an awesome idea to slant the mount on the frame. So it basically turns the crossmember into a giant spring that needs to be pounded in. Its quite ridiculous.

you might try a piece of 2x4 or 2x2 about 1/4 inch longer than the frame opening and knock it in as a spreader.
