Default reverse light help
hello i have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with the 5 speed standard transmision in it and when i put it in reverse my back up lights do not come on i have checked the bulbs and they are fine what else should i check my dad thinks it might be the reverse switch on the transmission but i do not know where it is or how to check if it is working please help

edit: cant find a good diagram of location, but the switch is on the passenger side of rear housing.
