Question 2001 Ram 2500 diesel dash overhaul

I have a 2001 Ram 2500 diesel that U want to overhaul every thing under the dash and install a new dash to replace the broken up one. I plan to replace as much under the dash that I think will need to be replaced. This truck has 443,000 miles on it. I would only like to pull the dash one time. I know that I have to replace the heater core and a/c eveperator. any suggestions on replace any other parts??

There is really nothing else except the 2 cores. How long ago did you replace them? And did you use quality parts? Maybe replace again and clean out the HVAC box. Might think about installing this setup to keep debris out. http://www.genosgarage.com/CAB-FRESH.../CFF-DG-0610K/

thanks zman17, I have never replace anything under the dash and I have had the truck since it was new. Should I use OEM parts or is there some aftermarket parts avalible?? I have turn A few wrenches in my time, by how easy is this job. I am hoping to overhaul the dash problems and give the truck to my grandson. I also think I have a problem with my airbox or what every control the air flow from heat to A/C. Any suggestion sure would help

Get the parts from rock auto and use the discount code located in the general discussion area. Don't buy the cheapest stuff if you want it to last. And it's not easy per say. Google the heater core and evap core replacement. There are some DIY's out there(cant find em right now). As far as the air control goes, read this thread. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ild-vents.html
