Looking for dodge ram truck mechanics

Default Looking for dodge ram truck mechanics

Does anyone know any good mechanics or shop in the 77015 or 77049 area for dodge truck who are good with the electrical problem. I bought a 1999 dodge ram 1500 and i could not get this car going. It will stay start for 5 seconds and then die.I have checked with 3 mechanics..They all saying it is an electrical problem. Please refer me a good dodge truck mechanics who can solve this problems.

It sounds like a possible IAC problem. Its the sensor on the back of the throttle body. You can take it off and clean ot with brake cleaner just dont push on it or anything just spray and wipe it off and clean the hole it goes in and see if that helps.

Why did you buy a vehicle that was not running if you can't fix it yourself? What is the condition of the engine? How many miles on it? Have you checked the plugs/wires/rotor/cap? Oil level, coolant level? Ar filter? A little bit of self diagnosis/troubleshooting can go a long way in saving you time and money.
