clutch confusion

Ok so ive bled my clutch cylinders twice now, but my clutchpedal isnt as firm as it should be and the clutch will not disengage. Any ideas? And btw i got under it while a helper depressed the pedal. The slave rod does move but to about an eight of an inch before the retaining straps can stop it. Someone pls tell me i aint gotta pull the trans agaib. Id die. Lol

I just bled the clutch on my Toyota I bleed it for literally 1.5 hours with no resistance. What I found on google was you can't bleed a clutch like you would brakes because there's no resistance basically the consensus is let it gravity bleed for 30-60 minutes just add fluid to the master every so often then you need to bleed the slave open the bleeder on the slave compress the slave close bleeder then release then bleed it like you would brakes. It worked amazing for me after 2 hours of choice words with no clutch at all haha.

I have no slave bleed screw. I think its the master cylinder that needs the bleeding. Slave is firm but master is pretty soft. If it so happens its not the lines wat could it be? Pressure plate? Clutch work is rather annoying.

Have you check the service manual to see if there is a procedure in there?

I have been using part manufactorers instructions. And i have limited access to service manual. It sucks not having it.
