Default Tuned Pcm ?

With a tuned pcm and running reg octane gas what is a good booster to add to it ? My truck with reg gas pings and the valves rattle under load pulling the camper !

Is the plenum fixed? That will give you all of those symptoms.

With a tuned pcm, you need to run premium gas, your truck is trying to tell you this because its pinging. Running regular gas with octane booster won`t fix the problem your having at all, not even a little bit. You need to run premium gas all the time.

I have an all stock 08 Dodge Ram 1500, and I used to run regular gas in it all the time, but when they started putting ethanol in the gas my truck started running like crap and had no power. I changed over to premium and got the power back, and it once again is running like it should.

So with your truck having a tuned pcm running it on regular gas would be much worse.

It also depends on what tune you are running, and who tuned it..... But, if the plenum is fixed, and you still get spark knock, yeah, bump the octane on your fuel, and see if it helps.

Your post is a little confusing but it sounds like your truck has been tuned already? Time to bump up the octane, don't bother with boosters.

I agree with the popular consensus, bump up the octane. Much easier to do that then throwing parts at it! And its a fast diagnosis.
