Shouldn't the rotor come off by just removing the calipers and bracket that holds the calipers? I was lead to believe I had to remove the cotter pin and that big wheel bearing/rotor nut. If I wanted to pack the wheel bearings I can see removing that big nut and pin, but i don't think I have to for just the rotor?
It should come right off. If you get two big hammers and hit it at the 3'oclock and 9'oclock positions at the same time, turn the rotor a bit then do it again, it should come loose after just a few hits.
