2001 RAM 1500 "popping exhaust" & Power loss
I have an 01 Ram 1500 5.9L and when I start it, it will run fine till it warms up and then the exhaust begins to pop and I lose power. Where do I begin? Its burning way more gas than it use to also. The check engine light will begin to blink when this happens too, and it will just stop blinking. I NEED HELP . . .

Need to start with a scan to see what codes you have...you should be able to cycle the key on, off, on, off, on and codes should either flash or be displayed on the cluster where the odometer is (if it's digital). Or take it somewher and have it scanned. Could be anything though, but if the light is flashing you're damaging the catalytic converter by driving it...

Swap out the pre-cat oxygen sensor with a Denso or NTK brand part, or one from the dealer.
Unless the problem doesn't begin between 30 seconds and a minute after a cold start, you never hear the intake sucking air, and it doesn't sometimes run relatively okay until you've been cruising at highway speed for a little while.
