Tranny being weird
tranny was rebuilt before i bought it but anyway, i replaced the governor pressure sensor and solenoid on it about 10k ago. Anyway as of late it shifts fine and down shifts fine. Its always starting in 1st like normal. However if i accelerate slowly it shifts like a dream from a stop, but if i accelerate faster like from a stop on to the freeway or anywhere with purpose it seems to hiccup and slip and catch itself all the way through third. It doesnt do it everytime but it clearly just doesnt like fast acceleration as of late. Im thinking maybe throttle position sensor? also it seems that these days i have to slam my throttle down to get it into overdrive on a hill.

Goes from passenger side of throttle body, down around the trans, and then back to where the shift linkage hits the trans. You want zero slack in the cable, and it should not be pulling at all with the throttle closed. Procedure for adjustment is in the service manual. It's not complicated. If you have a friend to help, you can do it in about ten minutes.

k ya ill adjust that cable this weekend. Its a rebuilt tranny, i cant imagine it ****ting out of me this early on. They might have not adjusted it when they did the rebuild, but ill go ahead and do it. So basically when looking at the cable, i just want it to be perfectly straight with no play or is there a better way of going about it?

Be careful you don't break the locking tabs while removing the white clip that is necessary to make cable adjustments. Throttle cable and TV cable should move at the same time, so it's easier to have friend help. Look at the service manual for more specific instruction.
