Just a puff at startup is usually valve seals. If you have oil consumption issues, that's gonna be the plenum, and possibly PCV valve. (along with rings, but, that's expensive, so we won't talk about that. compression test will tell there.)

Check out the Plenum thread in the 2nd gen section.

If the smoke under hard acceleration is very pale blue like oil smoke, try changing the PCV valve with one from the dealership.

For the rest, pay attention to that HeyYou guy. He's pretty smart for a guy who drives a Dodge.

Taking the throttle body off and not reinstalling the throttle kickdown cable correctly will cause this. been there done that!

changed the pcv vavle value cover gaskets and plenum gasket yesterday 80% back together , the pcv is on the driver side valve cover what is the one on the passenger side called . i dont think its a pcv valve jsut a elbow of sorts . i broke mine while uninstalling it . intake was full with oil .

Yep, it's just an elbow. NAPA calls it a "PCV System Elbow", P/N NOE 6301078, and it's less than five bucks. You should be able to find the official Chrysler nomenclature and part number in the appropriate parts manual, which is a handy thing to have on hand.

well, got it all back together, still smokes a little but. check oil after a long ride didn't seem like it was burning any . might just be whats left in the exhaust system etc, burning off. we will see.
