Track Bar installation
 

yeah I have done them often. Wondering if there is a simple trick or tip. I know how to install etc. what I am wondering is how to get it to 7o ft. lbs. without spinning the stud in the ball socket?

ball socket on a track bar? drag link maybe?


put wrench on nut, put socket on hex head on stud....hold stud and turn wrench.
another options is to squeeze the ball/socket down with a pry bar and tighten the nut with an impact.

sorry, i was talking bout the drivers side; the side with the castle nut. i cut it off and punched it out - i noticed the passenger side axle seal is leaking - crap. Can someone point me to the thread for doing the seals?

Passenger side seal isn't too bad, drivers side is a major pain, carrier needs to come out, along with the axle, etc. So, if the drivers side ain't leakin', leave it be.
