Won't run

I have 2000 dodge 1500 ram when started first time of day starts runs great. By the way 5.9 gas engine. When tried to be restarted cranks over like timing messed up, try to turn over like loaded up, if you put foot on gas pedal it will start but when you take foot of petal it dies. If I do the two foot thing and go a couple blocks it will start run it right. When shut of again same thing like timing messed up. It leaves no code told it could be crank sensor so I changed didn't fix it. Leave sit until cold fires right upturns great.

Hmm this might be better in the 2nd gen Ram section...

But have you cleaned and/or checked the throttle body?

Did the new Crank Sensor come from the dealership or the parts store? These trucks are kind of particular about that. How many miles on truck? Any other recent work or parts replaced?

Which is it, crank or water sensor that you replaced?

I changed crank sensor and it didn't fix it.today I changed water temp sensor and it fixed it. I read chiton manual and everything the temp controls told me change it and it was cheapest part.

Great! I'm glad it got fixed. And thanks for posting the final cure.
